“UNIVERSITY PARK — Mike Walker had said earlier in the week that he and the Penn State reserves needed to bring a spark off the bench, but he couldn’t have known how badly his Nittany Lions would need such a spark Wednesday against Missouri-Kansas City.
“And he certainly couldn’t have known what kind of flame that spark would lead to.
“Walker and freshman Jamelle Cornley both scored a career-high 17 points and freshman Milos Bogetic added a career-high 14, also off the bench, as Penn State came back from to huge deficits to defeat the Kangaroos 75-71 at the Bryce Jordan Center. …”
