UNIVERSITY PARK — Penn State defeated Maryland-Baltimore County 58-42 at the Bryce Jordan Center on Tuesday night, becoming the first Nittany Lion squad to hold the opposition under 50 points in consecutive games (the Nittany Lions lost 45-42 at Temple on Saturday) since the 1993-94 team did it against Akron and Columbia in early December.
Good thing, too, because head coach Ed DeChellis told his team during the game that for every point the Retrievers scored over 50, the Nittany Lions would run extra sprints at Thursday’s practice…
