Centre Daily Times | 12/20/2005 | DeChellis hopes current lineup can stick together:
“When Jamelle Cornley joined Ben Luber, David Jackson, Geary Claxton and Travis Parker in Penn State’s starting lineup Sunday against St. Francis, Nittany Lion fans had the five they had been waiting for all season.
“Which, as head coach Ed DeChellis confirmed later, happened to be the five that had performed the best during the week in practice.
” ‘I didn’t care who they were; if it was four guards and one post, I’d have figured out what we were gonna do offensively and defensively,’ DeChellis said, ‘but we were gonna start tonight the five guys who had the best practice the last three days, who played the hardest and executed and got on the floor and did the things we wanted them to do.’
“Expect that lineup, just the third different starting mix DeChellis has used this young season, to remain the same tonight when the Nittany Lions (5-3) host struggling New Hampshire (2-8) at 7:30 p.m. in the Bryce Jordan Center. …”
