Yeah I guess. PSU also won 5 straight games when they won the NIT.

This is like fights breaking out among the hostages.

As soon as Dean Wormer started in I knew I would be watching him provoke die-hard Penn State basketball fans into arguing against their team. It's a gift!

I have him IL'd and rarely see what he's saying unless someone quotes him, but I can almost guarantee he's making this about Ed and the "ignorant fanbase".  We all know his boy Pat hasn't done anything wrong here, and it's just a matter of time until this thing really gets rolling.  I mean, if you think year 4's OOC tournament was a success (5th place in a stacked field), just wait another 4 years when he's really had time to clean up the mess Ed left for him.  Ignorant fans don't realize that it takes a solid decade to rebuild a program that made the post-season 2 out of the 3 years prior to a coach taking over.

We are recruiting at a higher level than we have ever before and we are getting these kids from the most fertile reccruitng ares closest to State College.

Pat Chambers has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that he can get his kids to scratch and claw every night.

Now, if PC could only teach these kids how to play some solid D and keep giving teams wide open looks! IMO, PC's teams seem no better or different than ED's teams were.

D.J. Newbill's 83 combined points in Penn State's three @ESPNCharleston games is a tournament record.

With 1.7 seconds left I would of had everyone on the other side of the court, football throw.....Game Over

That inbounds pass was scary.....Glad we got the W

That brings back memories of Mooch Jackson's "football throw" out of bounds at the end of a game some ear ago... ended up turning into a final bucket for them and loss for us.

And who remembers who beat PSU that night?  :)
SELA?

Yep, as Rokk used to say, you win a cookie!   :D

well that tournament went about as bad as one could have hoped... but i guess we got out of there 2-1 so record-wise it could have been a slightly bigger disaster.

let's hope they learned a few things down there and get their act together quickly.  not the tournament we hoped this group was capable of putting together though.

True, buts let not forget that PSU took the team that is playing in the final tonight into 2 OT's before losing. I am sure it is pretty tough playing 3 games in 4 days when the last two games are just consolation games. Not making excuses for PSU's lousy play, this team has a long way to go to be good!

Drexel is already up by 10 over USC at the 10 min mark of the first half. I was hoping for a USC win since I think PSU will beat Cornell and I did no want to see PSU play Drexel twice in 2 months.
