I'm confident in most experienced college coaches' ability to coach fundamentals. This is a recruiting job.
1. Relationship job. VERY important for each coach to have positive coach/player mentoring relationship (which may last 5 years.) Coaches need to mentor the players thru a very important and extremely busy part of players lives which the player must balance basketball/school work/college life/family life.
2. Recruiting job
3. Fundamental basketball skills coaching
P.S. Why do we not see many posts about GREAT fundamental basketball coaching done by PSU asst coaches to help develop star guards like Battle, Newbill and Frazier? BUT we hear about the alleged lack of successful coaching at another position!!!!
