Necessary and important "feel good" win for the team and it's fan base!!!

Gotta love the Hawkeyes' victory song:  In Heaven There Is No Beer.

I don't understand the reasoning. To me it's a "sad" song!!     ;)

Agree that Bob Weiss should be on the list.  Just missed him at PSU but I remember him playing on that 76ers NBA championship team with Wilt, Hal Greer, Wally Jones, Chet Walker, Billy Cunningham, Matt Goukas, and others.

Didn't Luke Jackson play Power Forward?

MSU was entertaining to watch. Extreme hustle. Smart offensive game. Good defense!

Fun game with some great shooting!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe not a good watch for defensive purists, but, we did play very good D in crunch time.

Again...............very enjoyable win!

Put me in the "moral victory" column!!!
We had a 13 point lead at the 6:30 mark. At the 3:30 mark it was tied!
"Almost" is a step in the positive progression pattern.

P.S.  I thought Calhoun did a very fine job announcing!
Also, I think, the coaches have to tighten up our screen/picks. Too much movement at this point!

Neverett to the Red Sox!   Wish him well. He seems like a nice fellow!

Penn State Basketball / 2015 OOC Summary
« on: December 24, 2015, 10:56 AM »
I grade the OOC as ...."better than I expected."
- More wins than I expected
- Better offense than I expected
- Less Turnovers than I expected

I think it was a good "developmental" OOC for the players. It was interesting to see PC's player rotations and how they evolved as the OOC progressed.
How will we do in the league schedule? Gosh, I'm not sure. I will just watch and hopefully "enjoy!"

Happy Holidays,  :)

It's sort of the "old school" in me that likes to hear a game every now and then.

Same here!

Jason Rogers Traded to Pirates in Exchange for Keon Broxton, Trey Supak | Bleacher Report

Seems like a fair trade to me!

I think the "key" is................How many fans would had actually attended IF the games were played at the BJC?
and........................Would the atmosphere be better if the 2 games were played at the BJC?

I commend our basketball administration for "trying" to up the interest level!!!!!!!!!!!    I think the 2 Rec Hall games were a good idea!

Not pretty but PSU gutted out a win in crunch time!!

P.S. The 1-3-1 didn't quite work as well in this game!!

I'm OK with the Morton trade. That is, as long as they use the money saved for another ml ready pitcher or two.

I quit following NHL (because of the fighting) many years ago.

I finally got a chance to watch the video.Sure,we were too loose with ball (too many turnovers), BUT over all I think we played very well. Solid , in control the entire game, victory!!
I really liked the 1-3-1!   I liked Banks and Reaves at the point. We rebounded well out of it! I think we play it much better than our 2-1-2.
BUT, we will see if we will utilize it as our primary defense in the future. Teams will now have a chance to scout it and learn how to attack it.
Can't say I recall too many long term uses of the  aggressive 1-3-1.  I believe, Kentucky played it in the 60's with Roby, Phillips and Conner and pitt played it very well in the late 70's.  With the right players it can be a very disruptive defense!  Can knock teams out of most "set" offenses.

Thought this article was interesting!  Coach Pop on the 3 point shot!

As an "old timer" I agree with his thinking!!

Sad about the Walker trade! Fan favorite.  He started as a catcher, then 3rd base, then 2nd.  I thought he was an OK fielding 2nd baseman.Good hands. Made the required plays! VERY GOOD turning the double play!
Offensively he was WELL ABOVE average!
Is it a good move for the team? I think it is too early to forecast. (Depends greatly on how well Hansen/Neise preform.)

Can we NOW keep Melancon???   Gosh, I hope so!!

Great win!!!  Congrats!!

After a slow start we did a great job of bisecting their zone. Good coaching and good playing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
